On this page we would like to introduce you to BART HAGEL aka STREETART DAMSKO, a passionate photographer from the Netherlands who has contributed a lot of great material to the Urban Art Map of Amsterdam. An extensive archive has been created over time with small to large works of art, as well as galleries with countless photos of the super-frequented hot spots. Amsterdam has a lot to offer in every area, and the graffiti and street art scene is just terrific!
Most of the spots on the Amsterdam Map were started by BART HAGEL, but it’s important mentioning that KILLER LEENTJE also joined after some time and added a lot of material to the super hot spots like NDSM Wharf, the wall in Flevo Park or the Art Space at the Secret Garden. The two complement each other unintentionally very well and on their Instagram channels there is regularly interesting new information and photos from the capital of Holland. Check it out!
BART HAGEL had photographed and documented a lot over the years, but he also kept asking himself creative questions about the artworks. And it was also clear to him that many admirers of the artists and fans of the graffiti were also asking themselves these questions. As he became more active with his Instagram channel, he had the idea about a very interesting action of asking his favourite artists “5 short questions”. And yes, the artists did answer them.
BART HAGEL had posted these interviews on his Instagram channel back in 2021, these are still available in his Stories and you can watch them and read the text. But on social media, unfortunately, a lot of things get lost with all the new content. Therefore, we would like to present these short but exciting interviews to you here on the website as well.
