Santa Cristina in Val Gardena, or in German also known as Sankt Christina in Gröden, is an Italian mountain town in South Tyrol with around 2.000 inhabitants. Along with Ortisei and Selva, Santa Cristina is one of the three municipalities in Val Gardena where, in addition to German and Italian, Ladin is also an official language. The town is especially popular with hikers, mountaineers, and mountain bikers. A famous destination is the Seurasas Hut, which is located on the Seurasas Alm pasture of the same name. Seurasas is Ladin and means „above the rock.“ This special location „above the rock“ offers beautiful valley views and pleasantly warm temperatures. The hut offers delicious South Tyrolean specialties. The Runggaldier family welcomes you every summer on a height at 2020 meters. As well CYRILL RUNGGALDIER runs a wood carving workshop and created not only the beautiful artworks at the Seursas Hütte, but also many other artworks around the region.
