Here we have a collection from Luigi Savoia‘s visit at a photo exhibition of artworks from the fantastic MAUA MUSEUM which opened on 4th June 2019 in the Parco Aurelio Peccei at Piazza Ghirlandaio. On various display walls, photos of great works of art in the urban space of Turin were shown with details of the artist, the location and the respective photographer. It was an open air museum, without walls but with many photos from colored walls, to discover itineraries outside the center and from ordinary art circuits. 46 works of augmented reality streetart, selected by the citizens themselves in an experiment of participatory curatorship. MAUA was born by involving the inhabitants of the neighborhoods, since the first major mapping of streetart in Turin, which has 318 works. A selection that saw the participation of students and citizens in associations. The streetart works have been reinterpreted by digital artists creating new narratives, which are added and coexist with the mural, giving life to an unprecedented dialogue thanks to the augmented reality technology that animates and transforms the work into a creation of digital art. MAUA Torino is made possible thanks to the support of the AxTO project of the City of Turin. The MAUA was a project made in Turin after the two already existing ones of Palermo and Milan. For this exhibition they first identified the sparse works for the city and then produced augmented reality video files that could be downloaded with your mobile phone simply by looking at the wall using a special bepart app.
