The classic route is the Camino Francés from the Spanish-French border in the Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela, but with the revival of the pilgrimage tradition numerous pilgrimage routes of the Middle Ages were rediscovered and so the pilgrimage route begins actually on your own doorstep or wherever you want to start the long, adventurous hike.
