Roy Dupuis
This mural created by Montréal artist CARLOS OLIVA, know with artist name HSIX alias HEREZY, represents a famous and talented actor in Quebec: Roy Dupuis. The artwork was created during the 2016 Muralfestival and is very controversial. Indeed, it is a satire by which the artist wanted to refer to unwelcome remarks by the actor. The latter, referring to a film by Alejandro González Iñárritu, had asserted that the first nations of Quebec had been badly treated by the English colonizers, but that the French settlers had behaved much better with them, even going so far as to crossbreed. This comment obviously does not reflect historical reality. – Patrice Loranger
HSIX is part of the crew 156 ALL STARZ, a global group of artists, each with their own style and individuality who continue to carry on the legacy and traditions which began on 156th Street in New York City, USA.
