This old, abandoned building has been for sale since before the Covid pandemic. In the second photograph, when vegetation had not yet reached the roof of the building, you can see two large trees in front of the property; today, there are two new small trees growing again.

At that passed time, Bernardo O’Higgins Avenue had one lane on each side and the street was separated by vegetation. During the pandemic, and up until just a year ago, work was underway to widen the avenue with two lanes in each direction plus a bike path.

And after all those changes and passage of time, this old building’s days are numbered. Whoever buys the property will have to demolish this ancient piece of Angol’s history in order to make room for development.
