In October 2024, the CESFAM Piedra del Águila, which is a government family health center, and their officials created a participatory mural on topics such as biodiversity, food sovereignty, and community participation. The mural was organized and directed by PRISCILA FERNÁNDEZ TILLERÍA aka PRI.
The mural was made in the community garden, which is located in an interior courtyard of the CESFAM. Workshops such as medicinal garden of seeds and plants, introduction to composting, efficient irrigation systems and celebrations such as World Mother Earth Day have been held in that patio.
On other occasions, work has been done with furniture, as can be seen on the wooden benches with “carvings” of araucaria trees and also a carving of the Southern Darwin’s frog, an amphibian endemic to Chile, discovered by Charles Darwin in 1841.
