The two men bronze statues show the Ottoman admiral Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha who lived from around 1478 till 1546. This monument was created by ALI HADA BARA and ZÜHTÜ MÜRIDO?LU between 1941 and 1943 and got located its place in 1944 with an inauguration. The space is also the front of the Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha mausoleum and the square is named after this historic figure „Barbaros Meydan?“ or in English „Barbaros Square“.
