Mirissa is a vacation mecca if you are looking for a mix of paradisiacal beach and ideal waves for shallow surfing experiences. There are therefore several surf schools and surf camps here. The beach and the bay lead far into the sea, giving a certain wave pattern that is steady but not too strong. It is ideal for beginners or for surfers who want to take it easy.
