Tribute to Kočo Racin
Kosta Apostolov Solev, better known by his pseudonym Kočo Racin, was a Macedonian poet, writer, and communist who is considered the founder of modern Macedonian literature and modern Macedonian poetry. He was born on December 22nd in 1908 in Veles, North Macedonia, and died on June 13th in 1943 in Kičevo, North Macedonia. This elementary school in the south of Skopje was named after him and in his honor, and a bust statue was placed in the schoolyard as a memorial.
