The MAU – Museum of Urban Art is located in the picturesque Borgo Campidoglio and was founded in 1995 as an urban redevelopment project and became the first open-air contemporary art museum with over 147 works created. Among the latest is the video surveillance floral system composed by GEC ART. His work, painted on a sheet metal applied to a blind window, uses a transversal language given by the immediacy of images that skillfully strike the viewer. The involvement of the public is fundamental for GEC ART, which uses the urban space in a lively way by painting elements that are really present: in this case it recalls one of the balconies of the village embellished with a plant and fans useful in the torrid urban summers. This artwork was created in 2016. – MAUA MUSEUM
