La Tempesta – The Storm
The Bunker was born in Barriera di Milano in 2012, a place of multidisciplinary experimentation where artists from all over Europe paint, including the Tuscan ZED1. The latter, in The Artist’s Boat, draws a self-portrait focusing on a constant unknown of his existence: the precariousness of his artistic career. A sailor at the mercy of intense black waves, sails on a fragile paper boat; instead of oars to row, he holds the extension of a paint roller and on his head he holds Laretta, a real pug from ZED1, who is often the co-protagonist of his walls as a reference to his loved ones during distant business trips. A thoughtful cue with tender and intimate shades. The artwork was made in 2014. – MAUA MUSEUM
