Streetart and Graffiti meets Pop Art
From June 17 to June 21, 2021 the exhibition “Streetart and Graffiti meets Pop Art” took place in the gallery ErsterErster. It is a creative space for art, design and new works at Pappelallee 69 in the Berlin district Prenzlauer Berg. The project was prepared by the artist ANNE BAERLIN, who also exhibited works herself in a own presentation. During the exhibition with Pop Art photographs by ANNE BAERLIN, nearly 30 street art and graffiti artists who can be found in the Berlin cityscape showed their works. The street art auction for a good cause took place as a silent auction. Many works were auctioned and the proceeds went to the social organizations “Strassenfeger” and “Moritzhof”. The Moritzhof youth farm is an institution for open child and youth work for all 6 to 16 year olds and is independently sponsored by the Netzwerk Spiel / Kultur Prenzlauer Berg eV association. The artists were able to collect and donate a total of 1490 Euro during the exhibition by auctioning their works for the two social projects, each of them got half of the sum. – Anne Baerlin
