For many years, there existed a popular, but unofficial graffiti hotspot in the Wedding district of Berlin. Along the Napolenkai and on the Allée du Stade was the former gravel and rubble dumping ground, which was surrounded by a wall of concrete blocks. Perfect surface for spray can art. In February 2023, the Environmental and Nature Conservation Department started working on renaturalising this area between the Allée du Stade and the Berlin-Spandau shipping canal. The soil sealing and walls were removed to make room for plants, insects and meadow animals. Unfortunately, this graffiti spot no longer exists, R.I.P. There are already far too few creative spaces for free painting in the city, and now there’s one less sprayer habitat. But here in our archive you can still admire the documented photos from there, sorted by artists. If you also have graffiti or streetart photos from Allée du Stade, you can send them to info@vagabundler.com and we will add them to this archive.
