Mural at the Levetzow Memorial
The mural offers a perspective view of the portico of the synagogue with three of the former four columns. A star of David shimmers above it. One of the largest synagogues in the city stood here. With around 2,100 seats, it was a center of the liberal Jewish community in Berlin – a place of encounter with God and people, of education and community. A mural was to be created, which reminds of the synagogue as a place of life and encounter. ANNA SCHUBERT designed the picture and transferred it to the facade together with SEBASTIAN GRAP , a graffiti artist, in August and September 2020. During the course of the project, Thomas Abel from the “Gleis 69” association was at the side of the artists as well as the house community with help and advice. – Haus der Wannsee Konferenz
