FRANCE: Streetart Toulouse – La Daurade – Pont Neuf – JAMES COLOMINA

The child with the dunce cap

The child with the dunce cap, symbol of those who are on the sidelines, installed on the Pont-Neuf in Toulouse The Toulouse artist James Colomina installed a sculpture on the Pont-Neuf in Toulouse. A child wearing a dunce cap. It is the symbol of those who are ostracized, who are put aside.  The former dental technician, JAMES COLOMINA creates red resin figures, which he disseminates here and there, first on the roof of his house, then in the public space, in Toulouse, in Paris, and then throughout the world. Among his favourite subjects: ecology, the pressure of consumer society, or the oppression of adults on children. – Julien Canadas

You can find more of the beautiful and characteristic bright red statue artworks of JAMES COLOMINA at other places in the city. There is the “The man with the apple head” at Allées Jean Jaurès 24 and the hooded statue with the heart at Rond Point Boulingrin.
