The Tête de Chien is a 550 meter high promontory near the small town of La Turbie which offers a spectacular view over Monaco and the French Riviera with the Côte d’Azur. The summit is also home to the Fort Masséna from the 18th century, which is well worth a visit if you are interested in history. But for graffiti and urban art fans, the old barracks next to it are much more exciting. The „Ruines de la Garnison de la Tête de Chien“ were once a military outpost and comprise three dilapidated buildings that are now being overgrown by nature. The walls of this lost place are filled with great graffiti, characters and abstract paintings. An interesting mix of historical architecture, mountain nature and stunning panoramic outlook.
