The photo of the mural by French artist THIERRY NOIR was taken in November 2009. The graffiti was painted on the sliding fence that gave access to a vacant lot. The property was not intervened for several years and without any project in the pipeline, which allowed the mural to be another icon of this interesting neighborhood.
By 2014, a hotel by architect RODRIGO ERRÁZURIZ was being built, who devised a place with design and art that would accompany the environment and architecture of the Lastarria neighborhood. Art figures were added to the building façade, an avant-garde concept with Chilean roots.
The first photo of the building is from April 2015 and shows that the entrance to the hotel was still covered as work was still being done on the interior construction. Where is the fence with THIERRY NOIR’s graffiti today? If it has already been destroyed, then a big mistake has been made.
