This corner house, Hogar Santa Trinidad, is a residential area for young women between the ages of 6 and 18 who are derived from the family courts. The retreat is part of the Familia Real para NIÑOS Angol and this institution had the magnificent idea of incorporating a mural, which was made by the artist PRI, where she incorporated the themes that these young women live in.
The mural shows young people of different ages doing activities and playing, but each one alone and in their own space.
Part of the mural has the phrase “NO HAY CAMINO PARA LA PAZ, LA PAZ ES EL CAMINO”, which would mean in English “There is no road to Peace, Peace is the road”, a reflection on the situation of the young women who live in this home, as is the drama of having been separated from their families to possibly find the peace.
Sadly, under COVID quarantine and only last year, the home was painted and nobody was informed. Clearly it was a mistake as seen in the last photo the current state of the home, an ugly color.
