ALAPINTA is a crew that has been doing graffiti and murals since 2004 mainly in the Araucanía Region, which is clearly reflected in the work, with elements of the Mapuche culture and the exuberant fauna and flora, where the Araucana Araucaria or Pewen tree stands out. Also the landscapes of ALAPINTA characterize Araucanía Region with its volcanoes, lakes, waterfalls and mountains.
ALAPINTA also works with NGOs and government entities, where through public tenders and collaborations, they paint graffiti on the headquarters and buildings of these organizations. In this case, this graffiti in Angol is a Senda Center, an entity in charge of the prevention and rehabilitation of drug and alcohol consumption.
The main members of ALAPINTA today are MAHER and GVZ aka GABRIEL VELOSO. An anecdote to the location is that Israel Roa Villagra, a prominent expressionist painter, was a Chilean National Art Award who was born in Angol in 1909.
