In this interesting place, as in almost all of Angol, we find the character “Smile” by ZEN KUMELEN or just ZEN. His “Smile” is always delivering his joy through that simple smile figures from ear to ear.
It can be seen that the character of ZEN KUMELEN is the only graffiti in the surrounding area. And it is located on the wall of a large property that belongs to the Carabineros, which is Chile’s militarized police. This mansion was once the Carabineros Prefecture and also a casino for the officers.
Unfortunately, this architectural and heritage work was disabled and with structural damage after the big earthquake in Angol on February 27th in 2010 with 8.5 registered on the moment magnitude scale. Since then, several alternatives have been considered for this property, from fixing its foundations roofs and walls to tear down the building and build a new one for the Carabineros. At least the character “Smile” will be a witness to what the future holds for this property.
