Interior – Armando Bravo Bravo Commercial School
The graffiti, both inside and outside, was done by the ALAPINTA CREW. In this case, all the art work is at the Armando Bravo Bravo Commercial School. This school was created by Mr. Armando Bravo on June 1 in 1947. Today, this institution serves around 500 students, who, like all over the world, have been participating remotely due to pandemic of Covid-19.
This school is an ETP (professional technical education), as seen in the red book that is located at the exterior mural. The school has been occupied lately only for elections that have been held recently in Chile, the most important being the voting of a New Constitution.
The interior mural is on a sports court. On the left we have a piece of a sun adorned with figures that could represent symbols of native peoples. Immediately we have the imposing nature of those ancient araucarias that populate the Nahuelbuta Mountain Range or Cordillera de Nahuelbuta.
In the middle of the mural are the wings found on the emblem of the school and the words “Liceo Comercial Angol”. Next, the rocks and the staircase that leads to the top of the famous “Piedra del Águila”, the highest point at the Nahuelbuta Mountain Range.
This place is in the center of the Nahuelbuta National Park. Finally, the transparent figure of the puma is an allegory to the meaning of Nahuelbuta, which in Mapudungun, the language of the Mapuches, means “Great Puma”.
