Venus
This great mural was made by artist CARLITO DALCEGGIO. It is a free interpretation of the Venus by Boticelli . The artwork is located in the Latin Quarter and is intended to represent the Muse, the source of all creative inspirations. The Muse also represents culture and writing. It evokes the literary heritage of the Latin Quarter. I really like the mix of influence of the artist´s creation. Indian and Mexican hints are present in his work. An Art Nouveau side is also notable. Painters like Matisse and Modigliani also seems to influence the artist. – Patrice Loranger
