End of the pier

The King Edward pier is part of the Old Port of Montreal. This site is the old port of Montreal which was abandoned in the late 70s when the modern port of Montreal was inaugurated in the east of Montreal. These federal lands have since been cleaned up and reclaimed. Today, the site is used for recreational and tourist activities.

The old hangars on the King Edward pier have been renovated and now house the Montréal Science Centre. Astro’s new mural was commissioned by the Old Port of Montreal Corporation to decorate a container that closes off the south part of the pier. – Patrice Loranger
