Winter Scene
Here is a beautiful one representing a typical winter scene of Montreal. It is a tribute to the Quebec painter of Japanese origin, Miyuki Tanobe. Tanobe’s paintings are painted in the nihonga style and represent typical scenes of Montréal life. Here the mural shows a street hockey game in front of a convenience store. I played this type of street hockey game hundreds of times with my friends when I was younger. And I have terrible memories of toes which thaw painfully upon returning from sessions that had lasted hours !!! – Patrice Loranger
