Introspection
La Petite Patrie is a district of Montréal. It is perhaps in this that we find the most authentic atmosphere of popular and French-speaking Montreal. The neighborhood takes its name from a novel by Quebec writer Claude Jasmin written in 1972. It deals with life in the neighborhood during the author’s childhood, around the 1940s. A very popular TV series in Quebec during the 70s is taken from the novel. The mural was made by artist RAFAEL SOTTOLICHIO who is originally from Chile but lives now in wonderful Montréal and contributes great work of art. This great artwork here was curated by MU in collaboration to help the DALFEN FAMILY FOUNDATION. – Patrice Loranger
