BRITAIN: Streetart Dover – Graffiti and Urban Art Collection

Dover is a coastal town with a population of around 33,000 and is the closest town on the island of Great Britain to continental Europe. It is therefore known for its ferry to Calais in France, which is an extensively used connecting route. Dover is located in the county of Kent and has always been a military and garrison town due to its strategically important location on the English Channel, as evidenced by the famous Dover Castle, the remains of Roman and Napoleonic fortresses and defenses from the two world wars. The area is also known for its imposing white chalk cliffs that jut out into the sea. Of course, you will also find streetart and graffiti around. Here is a photo collection taken by the NOMADS ON WHEELS during their tour through the UK. We don’t have much from Dover in our archive yet, so if you have any photos from here, you can send them to info@vagabundler.com and we’ll add them to this page.
