Prijedor or in Serbian Cyrillic “Приједор” has about 80,000 inhabitants and belongs to the entity Republika Srpska in the northwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Places of interest are the Kozara mountain museum, the city library “Cyril and Methodius”, the city theater and the cultural-artistic Mladen Stojanović Association. Prijedor also has a larger number of fantastic murals in its streets and is aiming to get the name “Town of Murals” which they flourish with the annual “Paola de Manincor Award“. “Gejm on” – LJUBIŠA PUŠAC
As nostalgic reminder of the cult ’80s computer game Super Mario Brothers, this grand mural became the city’s sixth large-scale mural to be unveiled in October 2018. This mural is the winner of the international competition Paola de Manincor Award named after the Italian artist who created the first mural in Prijedor at the School of Mechanical Engineering. It is titled “Gejm on”, which means in English “Game on” and was created by local artist LJUBIŠA PUŠAC with the help of the artist SELVER BEGIĆ who won the award the previous year. LJUBIŠA PUŠAC is an academic painter and professor of art in nearby schools in Omarska and Banja Luka. The artwork has different observing effects while admiring it in several ways depending on the distance. When you are far away, it will have a decorative role, and when you get closer, you can enjoy some childhood memories.

DIM TIM
DANIJELA MRŠULJA VASIĆ and MILENKO VASIĆ have been working together on various art projects since 2011. One year later in 2012 they formed the artistic collaborative group DIM TEAM. Since then numerous interesting exhibitions took place and great outside art on the facades of buildings got created. This fantastic mural was created by the duo in July 2016.

“Garden” – SADDO
Romanian born contemporary artist SADDO, currently based in Bucharest, has a labile way with style, techniques and subjects. He juggles between paintings on canvas for galleries, large scale murals and commission illustrations for different projects and brands. His work mixes his taste for artists like Rousseau, Matisse or Grayson Perry, Iranian miniatures, Asian carpets, with his street art formation, and his love of contemporary illustration, decorative arts, hip hop and urban culture. And just like a hip-hop DJ, he samples and mixes different elements, surreal imagery, portraits of rappers, cars, logos, geometric elements, plants, animals, into his own intricate iconography. – SADDO
