Prva Brigada Policije  –  First Police Brigade  –  War Memorial

On 12th May 1992, the first police brigade of Stari Grad, the Old Town, was stationed in this place. As you can see at the stone carved naming list, most of the officers died that same years, the rest during the few following years at war. Rest in Peace. This memorial was errected in memory and in their honour for giving their lives to protect the city of Sarajevo.

Also check out the individual page for the several sculptures which are located as a series around the park and show busts of important Bosnian writers and poets, as well the big sculpture by FRANCESCO PERILLI in the middle of Trg Oslobođenja, the Liberation Square, called „Multikulturalni Čovjek„, or in English the “Multicultural Man”.
