Savonlinna is a city in eastern Finland with around 32,000 inhabitants and is located in the middle of the Finnish Lake District. A special attraction is Olavinlinna Castle, which is located on an island. Around the fortress area you can find a lot of interesting sculptures and monuments, as well on the peninsula Kalkuinniemi.
