Another fantastic story telling artwork by SHAI DAHAN. We divided this super nice and also super long painting story through the history of Gothenburg into two pages, because there are actually two walls. Just like it is divided on the construction site with the street inbetween. This part here is on the west side and it is about the historic periods during 400 years from 1621 till 2021. SHAI DAHAN about the artwork: “I want to capture the last 400 years of Gothenburg. By breaking the wall into sections representing different times of Gothenburg (and Sweden) history. From the beginning of 1621, onto the founding of the Swedish East India trading Company, its connection to Volvos history and all the way through the early 1900s and onto 2000s. To me, this is what Gothenburgs rich history is all about.”
SHAI DAHAN was born in 1979 and is an American Contemporary painter and street artist who works with paintings, drawings, murals, illustrations and sculptures. He has painted internationally including the Worlds Largest Dala Horse in New York City.
