The „Careva Cuprija“ racecourse, also known simply as the „Hipodrom“, is the oldest sports facility in Belgrade. By decree of King Alexander on November 15th in 1920, the Danube Riding Club „Knez Mihajlo“ was granted the state land for a period of 75 years. In 1921, the first gallop derby race and the first race of the City of Belgrade took place, and since then they have become a tradition. One of the largest Halls of Fame in the city is also located on the outer walls of the Hipodrom station, which runs along the streetcar tracks. Overall, the area is very graffiti rich with other adjacent hot spots in old factory ruins and under the bridge complex. Here is a collection from the Hipodrom Walls, by clicking on the artist you get to the creator’s subpage with many more photos. At the end there is also a walk around video. If you also have photos from the Hipodrom you can send them to info@vagabundler.com and we will add them to this archive.
