This great mural was made by artist JAAP SCHEEREN on the building of the MUSICIANS WITHOUT BORDERS headquarter. The non profit organisation uses the power of music to bridge divides, connect communities, and heal the wounds of war. They have locally owned, sustainable and long-term programs in the Balkans, the Middle East, Central Africa and Western Europe. In their programs they train local musicians and community leaders to use music for social change. MUSICIANS WITHOUT BORDERS also organizes Training of Trainers for professional musicians to apply community music practices in their work around the world. The organization shares knowledge and expertise, participates in conferences, and collaborates with researchers to advocate the use of music for reconciliation, healing and social change. – Musicians Without Borders
