Goal (11): Sustainable Cities and Communities – Cernunnos
Vita, Morte e Rinascita – Life, Death and Rebirth
To interpret Goal 11 – Sustainable cities and communities – of the 17 sustainable development goals identified by the United Nations, UFO5 turned to the Celtic mythological tradition by drawing Cernunnos, God of nature, deified spirit of fruitfulness and continuous renewal of life. Here the deer has horns that turn into tree branches to protect the cosmic egg: the soul of the world. Above it rises an ideal city, similar to the Italian medieval villages, which cannot exist without being sustainable, without being in harmony with the natural cycle of life. The mural, with its alchemical symbols, is also a great puzzle with a hidden meaning created to enable the viewer to find his own interpretation. The artwork was created in 2018. – MAUA MUSEUM
