GERMANY: Streetart Nordheim – Welcome!? Migration Exhibition – (1) Children Stories

Open Space Exhibition “Welcome ?! – Migratine today and then”

From the 4th. to 9. September 2017 about 70 people from Nordheim and Nordhausen created this exhibition. Locals, new citizens, refugees and arrivals. The topics were flight and arrival, current today and yesterday. Waldenses as displaced persons, religious refugees 315 years later, again in Nordhausen, war refugees today and 1945, today economic refugees from the Balkans and 400 emigrants from Nordheim in the 19th century. In the 19th century. Many parallels, many more questions than answers. With the Open Space exhibition in the open air, the creators want to strengthen the concrete history on site, let good relationships grow between living, tangible people with many stories of their own.  It is an attempt in the joint artistic work to approach the experiences of migration, to make them visible, to ask, to hear, to think. On a small scale, create a colorful counterweight to Trump, Erdogan, Assad, IS and black-and-white simplicity. We are not historians and statisticians. Numbers are more important, but friendships are more important. Being beautiful together keeps you healthy!  (Info-Table-Text)
