This artwork was made by the artist GONZALO BORONDO in July 2016 as part of the ONE WALL project curated by URBAN NATION. Meanwhile it is overpainted with a new mural by JIM AVIGNON. For many residents, the previous artwork about the gloomy scene with the girl in the pool of blood was too uncomfortable and negative. The picture focuses on refuge and grief. It is the case that negative issues make people uncomfortable, but unfortunately it is also the case that many people live in grief, war and on the run, who should actually be helped and not turned away.
