Jungle Fever
This mural was made by MADEMOISELLE KAT, a well-known and appreciated artist from Toulouse. Entitled Jungle Fever, this fresco is about “a movie that doesn’t exist” but that talks about climate, respect between communities in reference to Spike Lee’s movie also called Jungle Fever. His film doesn’t forget the historical references too and it is a dedication to the BAD crew, a collective of American graffiti artists who started in the 70’s. As well it is a dedication to one of the first directors, Alice Guy, that the Toulouse Cinematheque put forward at the time of the creation of this mural. As well it is a link to a very small cinema in Toulouse that no longer exists and that was called the Club”. This artwork was created during the third edition of the ROSE BÉTON biennale in 2019 with acrylic and spray paint on a size of 17 x 6 m. – Julien Canadas
