FRANCE: Streetart Toulouse – Le Busca – 30 Rue Marceau – JO BER & POES

This fresco was realized during the 2016 festival “Rose Béton” in Toulouse. JO BER and POES are two artists from Ile-de-France with a graffiti culture. In this residential area of Toulouse, they decided to tell us the story of Gilgamesh, a legendary tale from ancient Mesopotamia which is one of the oldest literary works of humanity from the 17th or 18th century BC. Gilgamesh, the king of Uruk, embarks on a quest for immortality to realize that it is not in the Human nature to be immortal. This fresco, badly received by the local population at its beginning, seems to have settled in the landscape.  –  Julien Canadas
