This great mural was made by the artist INTI CASTRO aka INTI in 2013 during the art festival HECHO EN CASA. Just across the square there is a second twin mural, both artworks belong together and show a woman and a man in the interesting painting style of the artist.

ÁGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA is a Spanish and famous designer. She designed and gave to the municipality of Santiago a mural dedicated to the Bicentennial of Chile (September 18th, 2010) on the exterior walls of the Bellas Artes metro station. It was inaugurated in October 2009.
However, for many graffiti artists that mural was just decoration, without content and it was just advertising. It was argued that RUIZ DE LA PRADA had designed it on a paper and had not even painted the mural, giving the paint work to staff and not to graffiti artists.
Given the pressure, the mural began to be vandalized as seen in the last photo. That is the reason it was intervened by ”Hecho en Casa” in 2013. The guest artist for the new mural was the muralist Inti Castro.
