In Arica on the northern Pacific Coast we made a little stop to do some surfing. The beaches and the waves are quite nice for several month. Next to the harbor we passed the Tattoo-Studio of the artist Bore, who showed us the shop and gave one of our colleagues an ear-piercing-plug for free. So we thought why not write an article about the tattoo studio.
We did as well an interview with Bore, he told us about his art and his work. The interview is in Spanish… :
Jose „Bore“ runs the studio with his colleague Alejandro, who is responsible for the piercings. They opened the shop in 2011, but Bore did tattoos already since 2004 from back home or at the clients place. His style is a mixture of New School, Comics and Graffiti. He includes as well a lot pictures and impressions of the Asian and especially the Japanese Culture. The name Namazu stands for a huge catfish from a Japanese legend. Here you can see some of his recent work:
