Vancouver – A People Powered Future
This artwork with the title “Vancouver – A People Powered Future” was created by the artist OAKLAND GALBRAITH during the Vancouver Mural Festival in 2020. The mural is located near the crossing of East 12th Street and Sophia Street behind the Salvation Army. An important part to say about the artist is, that he was just 12 years old, when he did this painting. The placed stars you can see on the mural were sponsored by donations from people in the community, far and wide, for Black Lives Matter. Together they raised over $3000! The works of art of OAKLAND GALBRAITH have been featured by the City of Vancouver Electrical Art Installation Box Project, the Prism Literary Journal and The Happening Dance Company. As well he is included in a CBC documentary about street art.
