Duality
FRANCO FASOLI aka JAZ is an Argentinian artist from Buenos Aires. A specialist in the movement of bodies, his works often represent combat scenes. In his Montreal mural, JAZ wanted to express the duality and the tensions that often exist between the Anglophone and Francophone communities of Montreal. The lion and the rooster tattooed on the arms of the pugilists represent these communities. The fusion of bodies like that of communities may however prove to be inevitable. This great mural was made during the Muralfestival in 2015. – Patrice Loranger
