Gary Carter
Let’s talk a little about the baseball player visible on the far left of the mural. His name is Gary Carter, an iconic player for the Montreal Expos in the 1970s and 1980s. Gary Edmund Carter, nicknamed The Kid, began his career in the major baseball leagues in 1977 with the Montreal Expos. He occupies the position of catcher. His brilliance in the game and his exceptional charisma make him a crowd favorite. Involved in the community, a good communicator, Carter learned the French language and was very connected with the Quebec people. In 1984, the Expos traded him to the New York Mets for several players. His time in Montreal was significant and he remains, even today, one of the players most identified with the defunct Expos.
Benny Wilding is also a specialist in false commercial posters on abandoned buildings. Pretty Cool !
