The „Monumento histórico nacional a la Bandera“, or in English „National Historic Monument to the Flag“, is much more than just a monument. Every corner of this neoclassical architectural masterpiece hides a deep meaning. The bow, pointing towards the Paraná River, symbolizes the future of the nation. And the Votive Flame, which burns tirelessly, represents the memory of our heroes. Every June 20th, thousands of people gather here to celebrate Flag Day in an emotional ceremony. The monument was inaugurated on 20th June in 1957 and was designed by the architects ALEJANDRO BUSTILLO and ÁNGEL GUIDO.
