FK Zabjelo Fan Art

On the southern part of 27th Marta Street, near house number 45, in a small square bordered by a few trees, there is a little urban art gallery featuring a variety above standard pieces. The works are tributes to the FK Zabjelo soccer club and its ultras community, and these have been created over time, therefore the gallery has meanwhile become a colorful wall exhibition. The square is quite impressive, and several more complex works have been created; a lot of stuff in detail and smaller addtions, overall the complete picture creates a nice effect of an urban art corner.

But FK Zabjelo is much more than just a soccer club: it is an important part of the local identity and the neighborhood’s unique sense of self. The organized fan group Zabjelo Republika was founded in 1991 and supports the club with great passion. This sense of community extends far beyond the stadium and also shapes the streetscape of the neighborhood.

This is particularly evident in a small square near the Momento Mio bar, where a passageway between two apartment buildings features walls adorned with graffiti, slogans, and motifs centered on the club and its fan group. The red-and-white colors, club references, and messages transform this unassuming spot into a sort of open-air gallery and a visible expression of local fan culture. Here, it becomes clear that identification with FK Zabjelo isn’t limited to game days but is deeply rooted in everyday life and in the neighborhood itself. Zabjelo isn’t just a soccer club, Zabjelo is a small republic of its own. And of course drinking beer and smoking weed is also included 😉
