Tribute to Hristo Tatarchev – Христо Татарчев
Hristo Nikolov Tatarchev was a Bulgarian physician, revolutionary, and founder of the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organization. He was born on December 16th in 1869 in Resen, North Macedonia, and died on January 5th in 1952 in Turin, Italy. The statue shows him sitting on a chair positioned on a stone pedestal on the southwestern side of the historic gate Porta Macedonian, which is an impressive architectural work in white stone. On the northeastern side is the statue of Pavel Šhatev, also sitting on a chair. In the passageway of the gate there are also two memorandum emblems with quotations in memory of Mother Teresa.
