The artworks by YUVIA MAINI aka BLOBB.TV was created as part of the art project ArtMadeThis, which provides a presentation platform for female artists in several cities in Sweden and highlights their artworks in public space. It is called “The wounded Divas” which are Agnes von Krusenstjerna, Sigrid Hjertén and Nelly Sachs.
BLOBB.TV was born in 1996 and works in the borderland between human and pixel using animation, painting and AR. In his practice, the Indian/Cuban/Norwegian/Swedish artist is interested in expectations, encounters, humor and dichotomies. Blobb.TV is trained at Konstfack and Hyperisland and has, among other things, a. performed assignments for Håkan Hellström, Sweden’s Riksdag, Sweden’s Women’s Organizations, Kristianstad Municipality, etc. She is currently in residence at Stpln in Malmö while working on an animated short film that examines movement and rhythm in static visual language together with Malmö-based artist Ellisif Hals and the composer Cassius Lambert. – ArtMadeThis
