Napier – Artists for Oceans – PANGEA SEED and SEA WALLS

Napier, or in Maori “Ahuiri”, is a coastal city on the North Island of New Zealand with around 65,000 inhabitants. The city hosts probably the highest number (52) of mural works from the fantastic globalwide project SEA WALLS – ARTISTS FOR OCEANS of the PANGEA SEED FOUNDATION. With over 450 murals in 18 countries across the world this project unites and engages communities on a global scale, inspiring them to become better ocean stewards.

Whangārei – Street Prints Manaia Festival – Tuia te muka Tāngata

Whangārei is a city on the North Island of New Zealand, the Northland or Te Ika-a-Māui in the original language. The city has around 45.000 inhabitants and is the administrative headquarters of the district. You can find fantastic artworks in the urban space and especially in January 2019 some of the world’s best urban artists took part in the international art festival “Street Prints Manaia”. During that event 15 fantastic large scale art murals based on the theme “Tuia te muka Tāngata”, which means in English “Weaving the threads of Humanity”, were completed in Whangārei and the surrounding region of Aotearoa.

Streetart Dunedin – Urban Art Collection

Dunedin, or “Ōtepoti” in Maori, is the second largest city on the South Island of New Zealand with a population of about 120,000 and is located at the tip of the natural harbor Otago. The city is known for its Scottish and Maori cultural heritage, as well as its interesting Victorian and Edwardian architecture, which in some places also features colorful street art.

Wellington, or in Maori “Te Whanganui-a-Tara” is the capital of New Zealand and is located at the southernmost end of the North Island on the Cook Strait. Worth seeing are the waterfront, Lambton Quay, the city cable car or the Wellington Botanic Gardens.

Streetart Christchurch – Urban Art Collection

Christchurch, or Ōtautahi in Māori, is the largest city on the South Island of New Zealand and is also a self-contained local authority in the Canterbury region. Worth visiting are the pedestrian mall built in the early 1930s, New Regents Street with its Spanish style architecture, the Christchurch Art Gallery or a ride with the 862 metre cable car up to Mount Cavendish.
