Ísafjörður has a population of around 2.600 and is located in northwestern Iceland in the spectacular landscape of the Westfjords. Worth seeing are the well-preserved wooden houses from the 18th and 19th centuries, the lively town museum, and the charming old town. Nature lovers will find plenty to enjoy in the surrounding area, with hiking, bird watching, or boat trips to the dramatic fjords and cliffs. You can also find interesting urban art on the streets. The photos were taken by traveller and streetart lover MAZZANTI. The artist about the mural: „I painted this mural in Iceland in 2019. The man who lived inside this house ran an incredible fish restaurant called Tjöruhúsið. I ate there, it was excellent. I started painting the house and was very cold one morning, he invited me in for a coffee. It was the strongest espresso I’ve ever had and he was chain smoking Marlboro reds with the windows closed. It was excellent – I was warm and awake. He also scored extra points for somehow owning a car like that in the Arctic Circle.“ – KYLE HUGHES-ODGERS
