PASCAL BOYART aka PBOY is a painter based in Paris. He is passionate about drawing from a young age and grew up close to the wasteland of La Chapelle, the cradle of European graffiti. It was therefore naturally as a graffiti artist that he began his career making a name for himself in the urban art world. A world in which his figurative style and technical virtuosity quickly earn him the respect of his peers. Thus, for nearly fifteen years he covered the walls of the capital with his ultra realistic frescoes. From this urban period, PASCAL BOYART retains an obvious fascination for the monumental portrait. Today he focuses all his thinking on the representation of the gaze and the exploration of its expressive potential. It thus pays homage to the infinite complexity of the relationship that the human face maintains with the soul, the latter being both the most essential but also the most hidden part of each individual. In the same way as his creative approach, which is intended to be both heir to urban culture and to a classical sensibility, his material approach to painting combines new technologies with traditional painting techniques. – PBOY
